Doreen & John are huge sport fans who care a lot about their family and culture. Our task was to combine the intimacy of a Chinese wedding while keeping it a scale of a football game. Challenge accepted!
The most important part of the planning was the audio/video part. John put together an awesome video and we needed to make sure it was properly executed. During the ceremony, John also surprised the guests and Doreen with an amazing solo performance. He was truly hoping that Doreen’s family would still love him even after seeing him sing for the first time. And yes, it was his first time performing in front of a real crowd. He totally rocked it!
Since we are talking about rocking and having, I must mention that both Doreen and John have a fantastic sense of humor. Their first look made me laugh out loud when I finally saw the images!
As for the wedding ceremony, we had two. A Chinese wedding tea ceremony for the immediate and close family, and a standard civil ceremony for everyone. For the Chinese wedding ceremony, Doreen wore Qipao, a Chinese traditional red wedding dress, while for the civil ceremony, she wore her white dress. Both looked stunning!
The reception took place immediately following the civil ceremony, we skipped the traditional cocktail hour and went straight to the party. It was filled with lots of fun, joy, love, and laughter and I can’t wait to see all of them back for their wedding anniversary one day!
