As we are navigating through 2022, a lot of us are struggling with some post-pandemic life changes, newly acquired mental health issues, financial difficulties, and other world peace issues that each and every one of us has our own connections with. If I am being honest, I have not been myself for quite some time either. So, I decided to leave my comfort zone and try therapy.

One of the things I’ve learned so far is that self-care is not a privilege but rather a necessity. You must show up for yourself to be able to show up for others. And as I was reviewing what self-soothing things I can use to self-care, I’ve realized that wedding decor design has always been one of those things. Hence why I am a wedding planner, I guess. Today I decided to let my heart speak to design a wedding table scape almost like a painter drawing a picture or a songwriter writing a song. And this is where my wedding decor design took me today.

In this wedding decor design, I truly wanted to showcase the mood, heavy yet hopeful, full of emotional waves but is structured to fit the expectations. I found this sequin overlay at Joann’s and fell in love with it immediately. Applied above the dark grey cotton tablecloth it also shines in a very unique luxury way. Just like us, humans, if we are given the right support, we also shine in a very unique and very beautiful way.

If you’re into design as a form of self-care, follow me on my wedding Instagram and my new personal Instagram. I plan weddings but it does not mean that’s all I am about. Let’s be friends!

Also, here is another tablescape I recently worked on. I called it High Tea Table Decor which is ultimately another wedding decor design but in a completely different color scheme. I believe you’ll enjoy it!
