Unique Wedding for the Exceptionally Unique Couple

To say that I have a very diverse clientele is to say nothing. Just two posts ago I wrote about a Russian couple who had a hot air balloon wedding. How cool is that? This post is about another unique wedding couple. Meet Rachel and Jason from Baltimore who had a very non-traditional Las Vegas wedding. I have to say I was super excited to be part of this awesome event and can’t wait to tell you all about it.

Rachel and Jason reached out to me in March of 2017. They had a specific vision of their unique wedding and needed help to put it all together. The bride told me that they wanted to get married at a non-traditional wedding venue, someplace like the Neon Museum. And after that, they wanted to have a quirky afterparty. They were both vegans and wanted to make sure we served all vegan catering. After some discussions, we booked the Neon Museum for the ceremony and lunch. Kiss by Monster Mini Golf became the perfect place for their after party.

Modern Moody Elegance

The first part of the event was nice and simple. Before the ceremony, Rachel and Jason had a small photo shoot with Zoltan from Zoltan Wedding Photography. They captured really cool shots with the signs. LuzsBlooms Flowers provided all floral for this wedding. The bride wanted all seasonal floral which made her wedding look very bright and colorful. Rachel and Jason are one of the most non-traditional wedding couples I ever worked with. Their personalities and looks were outstanding! Tattoos, piercings, different types of body modification, implants. That’s one unique wedding couple that stands out from all others!

Hard Rock & Metal

After the ceremony, they had lunch provided by Renaissance Catering, one of the preferred caterers at the Neon Museum. Chef Michael prepared a custom menu with all vegan Thai noodles, bbq pulled pork, veggie skewers. For dessert, the guests enjoyed chocolate covered strawberries, s’mores, and glazed donuts.

At Kiss Mini Golf, the couple had some snacks and full open bar. We booked everyone a round of mini golf and a private events room to get together for cake and snacks. The cake was provided by Las Vegas Custom Cakes. It was a cool all black cake decorated with red and orange edible flowers. The cake topper was edible Natty Boh and Utz Girl. If you don’t know, Natty Boh has only one eye. Everyone was getting very worried that the cake was ruined. I had to google a picture of Natty Boh and show everyone to prove that’s how it was supposed to be.

It was a great experience working with Rachel and Jason. They were a unique wedding couple who were very nice and very kind people. They care for the environment, they are both vegans. It made me feel proud that they selected me to help them plan their very special day.
