Selecting a right tablecloth size for your wedding might be challenging. If you are not a linen person, just ask your wedding planner or rental company to help you. However, if you are planning everything all by yourself this guide should make it easy for you select the right tablecloth size for your wedding.
Start with determining the size of the tables. You might have a mix of round, rectangular, half-moon tables. Find out the table sizes first, then look at the chart below to determine the right tablecloth size for your wedding.
I’ve seen different sources saying that you need to measure the table and determine the drop from the edge of the table. They offer different math formulas to select the right tablecloth size for your wedding…Too difficult! It’s pretty standard that for weddings all tables are covered with base floor length linens. Then there can be an overlay, a table runner, and all other decorative linens. Your base tablecloth should reach the floor or at least be no shorter than 6″ off the floor.
Below I included the chart that will help you to select the right tablecloth size for your wedding.

Finally, if you chose to add a table runner select the ones that are 12″ or 14″ wide. The thinner ones won’t look good unless you intend to have a specific look. Keep in mind the length of the tablecloth and select the length appropriately. For example, if your tablecloth’s length is 108″, a 120″ runner will be too long. The most common runner length choices are 108″ and 120″.
